Google Calendar — Update event
Google Calendar — Update event
Section titled “Google Calendar — Update event”Type: googlecalendar-update-event · Package: Google Calendar v1.0.5 · Output: Dictionary<string,object>
Changes an existing event. Only the fields you set change; the rest (guests, Meet link, reminders…) is kept. Useful to reschedule, change the room or update the description.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”Sends Google only the fields that have a value:
- An empty field is kept: this activity cannot clear the location or description, only replace them.
- Dates follow the same rules as in Create event: a
DateTimeor ISO 8601 text; without an offset they are read intimeZoneor the calendar’s zone, and withallDayonly the date (exclusive end). Since version 1.0.5. - If you change
start, setendtoo: if the new start falls after the event’s current end, Google rejects the change. To turn a timed event into an all-day one (or the other way round), give both with a matchingallDay. - Guests are untouched; to add guests use Add attendee.
