ZIP Activities

The ZIP package compresses and extracts .zip files. Useful to bundle several files into one (a batch of documents to email), reduce the size of a delivery, or unpack files that arrive compressed.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- ZIP files are created with optimal compression (the best balance between size and time). Already-compressed files (PDF, JPG, XLSX) barely shrink, but bundling them is still handy to send them together.
- All three activities create the destination folder if it does not exist.
- Password-protected ZIP files are not supported, neither for creating nor for extracting.
- Extraction is protected: a ZIP whose inner paths try to escape the destination folder (
..\) makes the activity fail instead of writing outside it.
