Get Storage File URL

Type: storage-get-file-url  ·  Package: Storage Activities v1.0.5  ·  Output: string

Returns a temporary link to download a file from Zoan Cloud Storage. Use it to share a file without downloading it on the robot: include it in an email, send it in a chat or hand it to another system that downloads it over HTTP.

  1. Identifies the file by its id or by bucket + name. If you set id, bucket and name are ignored.
  2. Zoan Cloud generates a signed link that works for 15 minutes. Anyone with the link can download the file during that time, without signing in.
  3. PDFs and images (PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF) open in the browser; other types are downloaded with their original name.

Each call generates a new link; earlier ones stay valid until they expire. If the bucket has download auditing enabled, every generated link is recorded.

None. But you must set id or name; otherwise the activity fails with “Provide ‘id’ or ‘name’.”.

ParameterTypeDefaultDescription
idstring—File id (alternative to bucket + name).
namestring—File name inside the bucket, including its folders. E.g.: 2026/sales.xlsx.

Returns a string with the temporary download link (a signed https URL, valid for 15 minutes).
